"If we ever forget we are 'One Nation Under God,' then we will be a nation gone under."
- Ronald Reagan
One Station Under God
Sixty-five years ago, the phrase "Under God" was added to our Pledge of Allegiance. President Eisenhower signed the bill into law on Flag Day, June 14, 1954.
He said: "From this day forward, the millions of our school children will daily proclaim in every city and town, every village and rural house, the dedication of our nation and our people to the Almighty.... In this way we are reaffirming the transcendence of religious faith in America's heritage and future; in this we shall constantly strengthen those spiritual weapons which forever will be our country's most powerful resource, in peace or war."
As a radio station that is a powerful Gospel witness, we need your help to continue to broadcast. These three days will be filled with special guests, patriotic music, and marked with information about how much biblical influence had a part in the founding of our country. So tune in June 12 through 14. We are "One Station Under God."
